Getting old(er)

I put ageing in both sections because it’s a double-edged sword. It’s a positive, and I’m really enjoying getting old, despite the challenges that are associated with it, mostly relating to health. The upside for me has been the realisation that, in my 80th year, I need to revisit my life plan, because should I live another twenty years, I can’t expect those twenty years to be the same as the last twenty years. It’s the same if I only live twenty more months, twenty minutes I could just about manage.

As a result of this realisation, I’ve had a serious rethink about what I want to do with the next period of my life, and what resources I might need to bring this about. It’s exciting and challenging, but that’s how life should be, isn’t it?

So far, I’ve made no plans or decisions so will take a nap and see what eventuates.
